Different from the original, but still fun!

| I just completed the game and had a blast doing it! The formula has been changed a bit from the earlier Lego games, but there are some welcome new additions, too. The pros: better weapon function with Wii remote targeting (similar to Batman's Batarangs), much better vehicle challenges that are actually fun and allow you to get in and out of the vehicle, improved graphics, lots of large areas to explore, no repeated content from first Lego Indy game. The cons: no treasure chests within the levels (This has been replaced with other hide-and-seek bonus stuff, but I still miss replaying the levels to find treasure.); shorter levels with frustrating 'boss' levels and repetitive bonus levels; no single 'home base' for checking progress (confusing at first). All in all, this is a more sophisticated game, but I wish they had stuck a little more closely to the original format. Still, if you love the Lego games, you'll definitely be hooked! |
Love the second one too!

My kids and I play and have solved all the Lego games, including Batman, Star Wars and the 1st Indiana Jones game. We love them! Its nice that this one has a new layout so that we can be challenged a little.
The play is a bit different from the others. Instead of neatly numbered levels, you need to locate the levels. The main levels are easy to find and you just follow the green arrows. After completing the 5 main levels, you need to explore more to find the 10 bonus levels. Instead of minikits and finding the single red brick, you need to complete the bonus levels and collect 3 sets of 10 colored bricks. Then you can purchase the extras, like fast build and score x4. The co-op play is great; its nice not to have to disagree with your partner about which way to go.
This game is a lot of fun for all ages. My 6 year old and 11 year old enjoy it as much as I do! |

| My family loves this game. The differences from the other Indiana Jones game are good, we can drive more vehicles, (my son loves the tree cutter) the puzzles are more challenging, we actually have to target the items to shoot or whip, the solutions are not as obvious as before, the split screen is great, (no more dragging the other player) the boss fights are fun and my son has already spent hours building his own level. Changing up the formula is a good thing, it keeps the game interesting. I wouldn't want to buy a new version of the same game, please continue to make changes and improvements, good job developers. I'm looking forward to the Harry Potter game. Maybe they'll do a James Bond lego game too someday, think of the possibilities... |
Fantastic!

| The new split screen action is a great addition. Now two players can stray far away from each other and be independent. My 9 year old son is addicted! |
Pure enjoyment!

When this game was announced I thought it would be a cheap revision of the first one (that was pretty good by the way). I thought it would be the first game with an additional hub for Crystal Skull movie, but NO! The game was made from scratch, with a much improved game engine. It's not so driven by the movie stories like the first one, but it freed the game developers to produce a serious LEGO madness... Indy style!
The co-op was improved as well, and now you and your partner can work on different parts of the stage without distance limitations, and that increases the fun in co-op play a lot.
In short, Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, is a great game for both Indy and LEGO franchises. |
Best series for the DS

The Lego games are the only reason I own a DS. I really hate playing games that rely on the stylus, it's not fun, and these Lego games make only very light use of the stylus. Moreover, when it does come time to use the stylus in little bonus games, it's actually well done!
I loved the first Indiana Jones game and this one is even better. The camera angles are fantastic, and it's just plain fun. I finished the entire game in two weeks, including all the challenges and the free play. There are still a few golden hats I am searching for, though ;-) Needless to say, I had to sacrifice other things in my life such as sleep.
Lego IJ 2 is basically all Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, very thoroughly done. There are 12 multi-phase levels to go through, in similar style as the first game. The "challenge" levels are great though, they are basically levels from the first three movies, and they're brand new, very fun. I only wish they could have squeezed everything that was in the first game, these new levels, AND the entire KOTCS levels! :-)
I highly recommend the Lego Batman game for the DS as well, and of course the Lego Star Wars (complete series), really really great fun. I am so thrilled that Harry Potter has been announced as the next game, and I hope they will release many more using the same engine and style afterward, I cannot get enough. Maybe a spiderman game?
Thank you for making this game! |
More and more fun!

Lego Indiana Jones 2 was everything that was expected and a bit more ... I got this for my 8 year old son who has played the Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones 1 game and he loves it! The creators have found new sources of creativity and humour and new tricks for the tried and true adventure scenario. My son is really intriqued by the "build your own" level.
The downside - I have an older PC with an NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200 video card and the recommendation is for NVIDIA Geforce FX 5800 - a small detail I missed when buying the game. So I have to downgrade the graphics in order for the game to play at a reasonable speed. But this is not a complaint - at least the game plays on my system! Imagine the crisis for my son if the game did not work at all! Just make sure you understand the requirements when you purchase the game and don't assume because all the other Lego Indy / Star Wars games work on your computer, that this one will also. |
More fun, more puzzles, more game, more Indie!

| I got this for my wife to play on our WII after she loved the first Lego Indian Jones so much. This one is much more expanded and she'll be "enjoying" the challenge much longer. We did have an initial problem with saving the game, which was resolved by erasing the data storage that was initially setup. This may have had something to do with the patching that is done when the game is first installed. You'll know you have this issue if you lose your points when you exit the game and restart it. Just use the Wii menus to delete the storage for this game, not the data stored for version 1 be careful! One more thing - be patient and be thorough in each level - sometimes you have to go to another zone and go back to complete the previous zone. |
