I had owned a pair of Moab Ventilators before and loved them, just wore them out. So this time I bought the GoreTex version in prep for an upcoming trip where dampness is likely. These are just as comfortable as the regular ventilators and they come in wide widths, which are very hard to find. You can't get them in stores and even struggle to find the online. I highly recommend this shoe for moderate levels of hiking.

I love these low hikers from Merrell. These is my second pair and this model is a little bit lighter in weight, but seems to have all the same great workmanship and materials as the Outland model. I selected the Beluga color and these go great with dark blue and black jeans.

A great multi-purpose hiker that will work for a wide variety of uses...

I got these 1/2 size larger than I ordinarily wear. Otherwise, incredibly comfortable fit. Merrells have always been great for me fit-wise, my feet under-pronate (suppinate) and these shoes really help counter that. Styling is great, not too weird and not too stodgy.

This is my second pair of Merrell Gore tex shoes and will not be my last. They are the most durable and comfortable shoe for work and recreation that I have ever owned. Highly recommend these to anyone.

I've just about worn out a pair of the non-Gore-tex Moab Ventilators. When I head to the door to hike or walk the dogs, they are the ones I always grab. 5 other pairs of hiking shoes, and these always go out the door with me. Heaven knows how many miles they've got on them. I have a wide foot and this last in "wide" just fits. Very durable -- very comfortable.

The Gore-tex version fits the same. They feel lighter. They really haven't required any break-in. I hope Merrill keeps making these for a LONG time!

These are my favorite shoes! When my dog chewed up my last pair, I ordered the Gore-Tex version and they're great. They seem lighter than my earlier versions. Anyway, this is my go-to shoe!

From the moment I opened the box and laid my eyes on these killer shoes I knew they were going to rock. I've only owned them for a couple of weeks so I havent fully put them to the test yet. I have done some lite hiking here in the desert and they so far are some of the best hikers I have owned. They were a little pricey compared to some other lite hikers but after wearing them for a while it was definatly worth it. Veryy happy with this purchase.
