Stylish enough for the boardroom but rugged enough for the wakeboard, the Casio Marine stainless steel analog-digital watch for men (model AMW320R-1EV) combines the timeless look of an analog watch with the functionality of a digital watch. This analog digital combination allows you to see up to 2 times or the date with day of the week. The round silver stainless steel case measures 45mm wide (1.77 inches), and it's complemented by a black resin sports strap. The inner rim of the bezel provides an Arabic numeral readout with small minute indexes, and the black face includes luminous hour markers, oversized luminous hands (with seconds hand), and a digital window above the 6 o'clock mark. Timekeeping features include dual time, a daily alarm, auto calendar, and a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 24-hour capacity. Other features include a ±30-second accuracy per month, scratch-resistant mineral crystal, and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--offering protection from accidental splashes as well suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and light recreational diving.

I agree with the other reviewer who said you would need to find a vintage dive watch to find one this big. The watch has a nice, large casing and an easy-to-read face for those of us who have a hard time seeing things that are near. I've had mine for a month now and it has not lost a second. The digital display is a little small, but I don't use it much anyway and will probably only do so on the rare occasion that I need to set an alarm.
For the price, you can't beat this watch. It is water resistant and appears to be a real workhorse though replacing the band may be a challenge each year (also mentioned by another reviewer). For what it does, this watch is better and cheaper than anything out there. |

I bought my first Casio Divers Watch in 1999 to use in my job as a police ofcr working road patrol. This watch is super tough. I liked the idea of the large easy to read analog dial, and the smaller digital readout that I set to military time as that is what is used for work.
The crystal is pretty good at minimizing scratches. Battery replacement is a little less than two years. Super dependable watch, and tough. Mine have gone through fights, and monthly firearms practice. I never had a single hiccup from any of the two I've worn for work. The watchband does seem to breakdown quickly and will develop cracks and then tear. However, I just replace it with a generic black leather one at a nominal cost.
I'm ordering two more, and am so glad they are still being produced. |

This is a long-standing standard for a solidly designed well-priced diver's watch. I have owned this model of watch for several years. The only reason why I get a new one is because my old one gets too beat up from scratches and the like, but not because of any failure.
The mineral crystal is superior for resisting scratches and so much more quality than a cheap plastic type. The stainless steel case looks good and offers rugged protection for the internal components. I have never had a situation where water leaked into the internal part of the watch.
You get the best of both types of displays (analog and digital). I put the dual time function to use when I travel overseas and don't want to readjust the analog display.
This is a no-brainer if you are in the market for a diver's style watch. |
Great watch!

I've owned this model for about seven years and I think I'll buy another to keep on standby in case I break the original (I'm not gentle with my watches while working/playing).
Tough, pretty easy to set, good features, and classic "diver" style at a great price. What's not to like? Wouldn't mind having a light on the LCD, otherwise it is proven a great investment.
Battery lasts ~2 years with the alarm going off every day and watch band life is about the same (cracks develop after a while). No corrosion (duh, stainless steel) and good resistance to scratches on the crystal so far. |
Excellent Quality Watch and VERY Rugged for the Price. EXCELLENT BUILD QUALITY!

I purchased and own the Casio Model #AMW320R-1EV analog/digital Diver's watch with the black analog dial and the LCD display. I like this watch very much. So far, I've used this watch in the shower and while washing my hands and it keeps very accurate time. It's very rugged and can take a lot of abuse, although I haven't subjected it to any abuse yet. I own the same exact model watch, but the one with the gold dial since 1995. I still have the one that I got back in 1995 and it has taken a lot of abuse and it still works fine and it still looks good. It has also already been thru 2 battery changes and 1 watchband. Currently, it needs a 3rd battery change. I was too lazy to take it to a jeweller and to spend $10 to change the battery, so I decided to purchase a brand new one of the same exact model, but with the Black dial.
The one that I just purchased from Amazon is a very nice looking watch. I like the black dial more than I do the one with the gold dial. The beautiful design and style of this watch makes it look like a more expensive watch. I've already received a lot of compliments on the watch.
It's also very accurate and I love the LCD digital display that's located at the 6 o'clock position on the dial. The LCD panel has 5 different functions built-in it. They are the (month, day, date), (regular local time), (dual 2nd time zone), (stopwatch) and (alarm function). You can display any one of these 5 different functions on the LCD panel for easy viewing. All functions are very useful to me. I use them all. Especially the month, day, date function and the alarm and the dual time zone functions.
The watch also has luminescent hands and hour markers on its black dial. The luminescence capability of the hands and the hour markers is about average. If you place the watch under a lamp for 10 to 20 seconds, the luminous material on the hands and hour markers will glow, but the brightness will discipate over the next 60 minutes. You can still see the hands and hour markers and make out the time in total darkness when the luminescent material on the dial has discipated glowing, but its glow is very faint. That's the reason why I give the luminescent capability of the dial only an average rating on here. Casio can try to improve on the luminescence of the hands and hour markers on this particular model watch.
Also, the LCD display does not have a built-in nite light. I don't really care for an LCD nite light because in the dark, I only use the watch to look at the time. Plus, the watch already has luminescent hands and hour markers on it which works fine for me. I cannot ask for anything more.
I also like the 100 meter water resistance that this watch offers. You can swim, scuba dive, shower and wash your hands with it without having to worry about compromising the water resistance of the watch. The watch is good size, but not too large or too heavy. It's also very comfortable to wear. It comes attached with a very nice durable silicone watchband which fits very well on the wrist.
Overall, this particular Casio analog/digital watch is very durable and rugged and it's very accurate. It also very affordable and it has an excellent build quality to it. I highly recommend this watch to anyone who is looking for an analog watch with a built-in LCD panel for the month, day, date, alarm, 2nd time zone and stopwatch which can also withstand getting wet all the time while swimming, showering or washing hands. |

| I had seen the "gold/orange" face version of this Casio watch for years but didn't know it came in black (and white) until I found it on Amazon. I really like the classic good looks of this watch... nice rugged case, smooth-clicking rotating bezel, sturdy band, etc. For <$60, this watch truly delivers awesome quality and value. The digital features are great too. I've received a few compliments from co-workers on this watch already. Overall, an awesome watch for the money and I couldn't be happier with it. |

| I have had the 1st generation of this watch since 1994, on it's fifth battery now. Could not find many watch repair places with the larger tools to open it until recently. Watches this big were not popular in the early 90's. The crystal is indestructable. Still getting complements. It is weathering very well, on the third band now. The face is extremely easy to see in most reasonable lighting conditions. If I need a watch with a light I just don't wear it at that time. It's not high tech. It just works and looks good. |
