I just got this grill...it's a state of the art tabletop grill. The grill is already put together, so it's essentially ready to be used "out of the box". The grill is very light, so it's efficiently portable and easy to carry. It can fit on small or large tables and comes with a stainless steel veggie plate that is great for cooking vegetables, kabob's etc. It's got a easy to attach catch pan dipper that just slides on under bottom of the grill. The grill starts immediately (push and turn to light the burner) and the heat comes on quick; the temperature gauge on the top is very accurate and allows superior cooking capabilities, which is the best part of this grill. i cooked chicken the first night i got the grill, and it came out perfectly. For those of you using Weber or other more commercial grills, I'd recommend looking at this. I use to have a weber, used for tailgates etc - this grill is 10 times better and reasonably priced for it's quality.

Just got this grill 2 weeks ago, and already have used it several times. It heats up very quickly. Takes 5 minutes to get up to 500 degrees. It is very easy to start. Just push in and turn. Lights on the first try everytime. It has enameled cast iron grate for very even heating. The amount of food that you can put on this grill is surprising. I fit 10 burgers and 4 hot dogs on at once. The temperature gauge is great as it tells me the exact temperature, so I am able to time my food. Another good thing is this comes with a stainless steel veggie platter which is great for cooking vegetables and small pieces of meat and fish. Also, comes with a $20 Omaha Steak gift card, so the first couple of BBQ's are free. Easy to clean up and side shelves fold in for easy storage. This is a great grill for every day cooking as well as taking on trips.

I purchased this Cuisinart grill because I was looking for a tabletop grill to take tailgating at NASCAR events and my wife to take to dog shows. After researching all the grills, this one looked to be a step up from the other ones available in this price range. We also have other Cuisinart appliances and trust the name. The body is made of stainless steel and each side table is stainless as well, unlike the plastic ones of the other models I looked at. It has a heavy cast grate that I love and comes with a vegetable tray which comes in handy with a vegetarian daughter. I am typically a charcoal man, but do not like to mess with charcoal when tailgating or fire up the big grill for something small.

The grill arrived in its own packaging. When I opened it up, I found it to be well packaged and all the contents to be in great shape, which I was surprised given the treatment my packages typically get by UPS. Heavy foam and cardboard enclosed all the parts.

Assembly was a snap with just 4 screws and washers that screw into the short stand the grill sits on. I sprayed the grate with non-stick spray to season it. It does not say to do this in the instructions, but I always do with new grills to make sure the food does not stick and it is easy to clean. When I fired it up I immediately noticed that it preheated very fast. It was up to 500 degrees in just a few minutes. I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked on my first meal of chicken.

We have had this grill about 8 weeks now and use it around 2 - 3 times each week We keep in on a table on our deck near the charcoal grill. I find myself running out with a couple frozen burgers for lunch or some chicken tenders at dinner time to complement a salad. This avoids heating up the stove in the summer time and having to clean up a mess. The grill gets hot quickly and I end up turning the temp down unless I have a very full load. I liked being able to grill with the lid down to control any flare-ups and maintain better overall cooking. Some other grills do not let you cook with the lid down. A bottle of propane seems to last us a long time, but I guess that depends on your cooking habits.

It has two handles and my wife and I find it easy for one of us to carry in and out of the truck and car and set up. The side tables both turn in and store under the lid. They turn out and snap in place when ready to use.

I found cleanup to be easy as the grate easily removes. Grease either burns off on the flame guard or runs into the grease tray that slides out under the grill. I typically do not clean out the inside very much unless I cook something that builds up a lot of ash and burnt on food parts. The outside stainless wipes off easily and looks like a new grill again each time.

I would recommend this grill to anyone that wants an easy to use, great looking grill that I am sure will last for many years.

As other reviewers have stated, this is a lot of grill for a portable. It heats up quickly and the cast iron grate produces those 'killer grill marks' that are the signature of any grillmaster.

A couple of things about the grill that aren't mentioned: the grate is reversible. Why would you want to do this? On one side, the bars of the grate come to a point, like an inverted 'V'. This is fine for steaks and more 'solid' foods. If you turn the grate over, the surface is flat and wider. If you are grilling burgers or delicate foods, it is easier to get a spatula under the food for easy turning. One other point: You can attach a hose to the grill and use your 20lb. propane tank. I called Cuisinart and they confirmed that you could do this if you made sure that the connections were free of leaks. This ensures that you will always have plenty of fuel (if you check the tank or have a pressure gauge) when you need it and can grill for longer times.

I am pretty much of a charcoal person but this one was too good to pass up. The weather has been just awful here and though it says that we are in the summer season, it just continues to rain and rain.... The yard is a swamp even when the sun does make a rare appearance so I just place the Cuisinart on the picnic table and in a couple of minutes, we are ready to grill. I really can't say enough about how well this one is built and more importantly, how it performs. Even the stainless veggie tray is a recognition by the manufacturer that people's tastes go beyond traditional grill fare. In short...buy it...it's a bit pricey for a portable but in this case, it is true that 'you'll only cry once'!

I have enjoyed two tasty meals on the Cuisinart gas grill as a result of not only good food but also a superior product. The Tabletop Gas Grill cooked my food to perfection because of high heating and consistent temperatures. The Cuisinart CGG-200 which is compact (no bulky propane gas tank) and light (35 pounds) was perfect during one of my meals at a city apartment. There were only 5 of us and the grill was a perfect size. Additionally, the grill lights up with a turn of the knob. I didn't have to press any buttons or light any matches to ignite the flames. During my other use of the grill, 13 teammates from a summer league cooked out and enjoyed the grilling experience. The stainless steel cover and temperature gauge is cool looking and the "grilldozer" accessory is a must have for any guy!!

I live on the second floor of an apartment complex and was looking for a portable grill to use on my balcony. I have owned several "table top" grills, but none have been as high quality as this beauty. It is made with the best materials and comes almost fully assembled. All you need to do is attach the stand with four screws...takes roughly 6 minutes. It is easy to transport by using the carry handles and the side tables fold in when not in use. I recently brought this on a camping trip and was able to feed 13 people for 4 days on only 2 cylinders of propane. Talk about some happy campers! I would buy this again in a second and once people see it for themselves, they instantly want one. I also recommend the custom grill cover to keep it in pristine condition...for 20 extra dollars, its a no brainer.
Cuisinart did it again with another excellent product. The price may seem high, but I am confident that this grill will be with me for many seasons to come.

I emailed community with question about whether you could hook grill up to propane tank and how to do it. I received response stating that you need an adaptor hose. My husband bought the adaptor hose at Home Depot for $25.00 and connected it to propane tank. Very easy. We used the grill several times since then. It is wonderful. Steaks come out great, grill lines, perfect cooking. I made homemade pizzas, grilled vegetables, hamburgers. Terrific. Great grill. Would recommend to everyone.

This is the best grill ever!!! It is as functional as it is attractive. Favorite features include the cast iron cooking surface, thermometer, stainless steel fold away shelves, and stationary legs. I have cooked the best boneless chicken breasts in my life. Tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Thanks to the thermometer. The cast iron cooking surface heats up quickly and evenly. I also love the fact that I KNOW what cast iron is. Heats up quickly and provides great grill marks. Clean up is a breeze. Also, purchased the cover. I am impressed with both. Highly recommend this appliance to anyone who loves to grill without the hassle of charcoal. Can't say enough about my satisfaction. Get one and see for yourself!!
